Kamal Ghali is a co-founder of Chaiken Ghali, LLP, a Chambers-ranked litigation firm, and a former partner at Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore, LLP. He previously served as a U.S. Department of Justice white-collar and cybercrime prosecutor and was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Atlanta, where he was a Deputy Chief of the Cyber and Intellectual Property Crime Section and an AUSA in the Complex Frauds and Organized Crime Sections. He is a former law clerk to the Hon. Thomas W. Thrash, Jr., U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the Hon. Frank M. Hull, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
He holds a J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as a Note Editor on the Michigan Law Review. He has a B.A. from Emory University, magna cum laude, where he was President of the Alben W. Barkley Forum Debate Team and ranked as a member of the top two-person debate team of the decade (2000-2010).
